Lap-Band® Contest

In August 2011, Surgical Weight Loss Solutions at Tempe St. Luke’s launched a Lap-Band® giveaway contest. Two candidates will be selected to have the surgery. The contest was open to all persons who are over the age 21 or older and reside in the Phoenix metropolitian area. To be an eligible candidate for the Lap-Band® System Surgery, each contestant filled out an entry form on this website and attended a weight loss seminar hosted by a physician from Surgical Weight Loss Solutions at Tempe St. Luke’s. The entry form contained information regarding why they should be selected and how the surgery could improve their quality of life. The contest was narrowed down to four contestants based on BMI, seminar attendance, consultations with Dr. Eric Schlesinger and/or Dr. Kurt Sprunger and a clinical psychologist at Surgical Weight Loss Solutions.
